sechi.moe was created in order to allow people to more easily share anime locations that they have found by adding them to a central database that can be accessed by anyone.

Scenes can be searched for using an interactive map, allowing users to find scenes that meet specific criteria (such as weather, time of day, and season).

Users with accounts can bookmark scenes and log their visits to scenes in order to keep track of where they've been and where they would like to go. Users with accounts can also add comments on scene pages with images they've taken, allowing them to share how they were able to recreate the scene in real life.

What is Seichijunrei?

Seichijunrei (聖地巡礼), literally "pilgrimage to sacred places", is a term used to describe visiting real life locations from anime. Many pieces of fictional media incorperate real life locations, and fans will often figure out where those locations are in order to visit them.
